Gandaki Cabinet appoints PC expert

Pokhara, August 1

A meeting of Gandaki Province Cabinet today appointed Bishnu Baral from Bhoje, Lamjung, as expert in the province’s Planning Commission.

Baral has PhD in Hydro Science from the United Kingdom.

Province government Spokesperson Ram Sharan Basnet said that Baral was appointed as expert in the Planning Commission for three months. Baral will receive facilities at par with the joint-secretary.

Baral, who earned BE from Pulchowk Engineering College, is an MSC in Hydrolic Engineering. Earlier, the government had appointed Giridhari Paudel as vice-chair of the Policy and Planning Commission.

The meeting of the province Cabinet decided to request the federal government to transfer ownership of house and land used by province ministries in their names.

The cabinet has decided to hoist a 100-metre tall national flag on the banks of Phewa Lake in collaboration with Pokhara metropolis.
