Supporters of the Nepali Congress and the CPN-UML were not even on speaking terms following the civic polls. “However, both NC and UML supporters celebrated the festival together,” said Laxmiraj Upadhyay, a local.
A conflict had broken out at Bichhaya of Himali Rural Municipality-4 during the civic polls creating rift between supporters of the two parties. “But, Gaura Parba has helped bring them together,” said another local.
