RAJBIRAJ: The District Administration Office (DAO) on Saturday reportedly raided three shops and confiscated multitudes of t-shirts and caps printed with parties' election symbol in Rajbiraj Municipality of Saptari district.

A joint team deputed from Election Commission and the DAO seized the total of 21 t-shirts and 15 caps printed with election symbol in the raid, informed Chief District Officer Bhagirath Pandey.

Likewise, police briefly held six persons for wearing t-shirts printed with the symbols and confiscated the donned gears.

According to CDO Pandey, all the confiscated election symbol printed clothes would be returned after the September 18 local level elections.

He added that inspection have been intensified in order to hold the polls in free and impartial way in the district.
