German scouts donate Rs 3 million, offer services

CHITWAN: A team of German Scouts donated Rs 3 million for making a hospital better and constructing a building for a local school in Ratnanagar.

The German scouts team of 30 members contributed materials worth Rs 1 million to local Ratnanagar Hospital and Rs 2 million to build the school building at Kalikhola in Chitwan among Chepang settlement, said one of the team members.

After completing construction of the school, the team has been working to make the hospital better. According to a team member, the team has been carrying out the construction works themselves buying the required materials.

People in Germany have begun supporting the team financially after a local newspaper in Germany published reports about their contribution to the villages in Nepal, said another team member.
