Girl injured in Sarlahi clash dies
Sarlahi, April 7:
A seven-year-old girl, injured in the recent clash in Malangwa, died today. Manju Kumari Shah, of Malangwa-9, died undergoing treatment at a hospital in Sitamadhi, India. The bomb dropped from a copter to foil the Maoists injured three daughters of Baiju Shah during the clash.
The three girls were taken to Tri-Chandra Hospital for primary treatment and later to the Central Hospital in Sitamadhi.
The condition of injured Pawan Kumari Shah (9) and Reena Kumari Shah (11) is critical, said a local Santosh Mahato. A woman Sunita Karna and her two-month-old daughter Shikha at Malangwa-10, were also injured by the bomb.
The bomb also damaged the house of Shiva Shankar Yadav.
About 22 persons including 10 army men, six policemen, three Maoists and three civilians were killed in the clash. Meanwhile, of the 107 prisoners freed from Sarlahi jail, a prisoner Bacha Upadhaya contacted police.
