KATHMANDU: A girl died after being hit by a tractor in Nabarajpur Rural Municipality-3 in Siraha district on Wednesday night.

The deceased has been identified as Karina Kumari, 5-year-old daughter of local Ram Dayal Yadav.

According to police, the incident occurred when the tractor (Sa 1 Ta 2347) hit the girl yesterday, killing her on the spot.

Meanwhile, further investigation into the case is underway and search is on for the absconding tractor driver who fled the scene, informed Area Police Office, Mahespur Patar.
