RAUTAHAT: The agitated cadres of the United Democratic Madhesi Front (UDMF) have set a truck ablaze in Garuda of Rautahat district on Wednesday.

The good-laden truck (Na 3 Kha 170) that was en route to Jitpur of Bara was set on fire at West Mahamadpur, 200 metres away from Methur Chok, at 12: 10 am this morning.

DSP Rajendra Pokharel of the District Police Office, Rautahat, informed that goods and parts of the truck that was gutted in the fire were worth around Rs 100,000.

The locals and the police put off the fire after 10 minutes.

DSP Pokharel said that they are searching for the suspects that managed to flee after the arson.
