GORKHA: A man of Gorkha district has been arrested on the charge of raping his niece.

Police have withheld his identity including the address so as to protect the victim.

The man was arrested on the basis of a complaint filed by the girl's grandmother. The incident reportedly took place on Saturday, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police Birendra Thapa.

The girl has been sent to Kathmandu for treatment and further investigation is underway, police said.
