KATHMANDU: A meeting of the Council of Ministers today decided to provide two bundles of corrugated zinc sheets of 26 gauges to each family who lost their houses in the recent fire incidents that have lately occurred in different parts of the country.

The meeting was held at the Prime Minister's official residence, Baluwatar.

Talking to mediapersons following the meeting, Minister for Industry Som Prasad Pandey said so far, 1,402 houses have been completely destroyed in the incidents of fire taken place in different parts of the country since November 17, 2015.

Similarly, the meeting also appointed Dr Pukar Chandra Shrestha to the post of the Executive Director of the Human Organ Transplant Centre.

Likewise, in the meeting, six under secretaries were promoted to the posts of joint secretaries.

Those appointed to the post are namely Govinda Prasad Rijal, Jhakka Prasad Acharya, Nawaraj Dhakal, Nita Pokhrel Arayal, Uday Bahadur Rana Magar and Gajendra Kumar Thakur.
