KATHMANDU, MAY 19
The Ministry of Health and Population has decided to take action against health facilities setting conditions for receiving patients.
The Ministry has urged hospitals not to demand patients or visitors for oxygen cylinders of their own.
Some hospitals have been found compelling patients to bring oxygen cylinders of their own to receive treatment, said Ministry Joint-Spokesperson Dr Samir Kumar Adhikari.
The Ministry claimed that it has ensured oxygen supply to hospitals as per need, according to data of patients provided to the ministry, and patients reaching hospitals are expected to get the oxygen if needed.
The cylinders that are taken to the hospital will automatically enter the oxygen supply system of the health facility, the ministry said.
