Govt will act against miscreants, says home minister

Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa said the government would take action against miscreants involved in carrying out blasts across the country.

Speaking at a press meet organised in Dhangadi today, Minister Thapa said the government was preparing to arrest the group involved in carrying out blasts across the country.

He claimed that the government had laid the foundation for development and prosperity in the past one year. “The government was successful in improving bilateral relations,” he added. The home minister also claimed the government had managed law and order well in the country.

He added that the rape and murder case of Nirmala Panta was disastrous due to negligence on the part of the security agency. He expressed confidence that the culprit(s) behind Nirmala Panta’s rape and murder would be brought to justice. “Investigation is still under way and the culprits will be arrested soon,” he said.

Meanwhile, Home Minister Thapa also attended the security meeting of the Far-west province along with province Minister of Internal Affair and Law Prakash Bahadur Shah and Chief Secretary Narayan Bidari.

Similarly, chief district officers of nine districts of the Far-west, security chiefs of the three levels, province chiefs of security departments, police chiefs of nine districts and chiefs of Armed Police Force, among others, participated in the security meeting.
