Govt cannot topple: Khanal
BHOJPUR: CPN-UML chairman Jhala Nath Khanal said on Sunday that the present UML-led government will exist until the new constitution is written and the peace process taken to a logical end.
Speaking at a press conference organised by Nepal Federation of Journalists, Khanal said that no one can topple the government from outside. He added that there is no compulsion for the UCPN-Maoist to join the present government. He added that if the Maoists are concerned about peace and constitution, they should join the government.
Talking about his own party, Khanal said that the UML would not split despite the intentions of some parties. He said that there is no alternative to the consensus and cooperation, and therefore the differences between the political parties would end soon.
