Govt flexible to address Madhes issues, says Minister Mandal

BIRATNAGAR: Ministers without Portfolio, Satya Narayan Mandal, has asked the Madhes-based parties to become flexible as the government has shown its flexibility to resolve grievances of the agitating Madhes-centric political parties.

At a news conference organised by Press Chautari Morang today, Minister Mandal said that there is nothing wrong in the new Constitution except in delineation of the provinces and argued that there are sufficient spaces to amend the Constitution if need be.

He said that the political parties have become ready to put proportional inclusiveness and added that population as well as geography should be made the bases for determining constituencies.

On the occasion, Mandal said that the Prime Minister has advanced talks with the political parties to resolve the ongoing crisis.
