Govt forms health advisory committee
Kathmandu, December 15:
The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) has formed an advisory committee with a motive to make necessary changes in the national health policy. The committee, under the coordination of Dr Mahesh Maskey, advisor to Health Minister, has a total of 24 academicians and former high-level officials who have served in the health sector for years.
“The advisory committee will formulate, among others things, a modality for the government to introduce free health services in the Indoor Patient Service and Emergency services,” said Dr Maskey.
It has the representation from Nepal Medical Association, Nepal Medical Council, Nepal Nursing Association, Nepal Health Research Council, Nepal Health Professional Organisation, Nepal Ayurvedic Council, Nepal Health Technical Council along with other organisations associated with the health sector.
