Govt-FRNF talks today
Kathmandu, February 27:
Minister for Peace and Reconstruction and government talks team leader Ram Chandra Poudel and Federal Republican National Front (FRNF) today decided to hold another round of formal talks tomorrow to discuss three key issues raised by the latter.
FRNF’s three major demands include all-out proportional election system, full implementation of republic declared by the interim parliament and guarantee of federal autonomy to be made by the constituent assembly.
However, Poudel said it would be impossible to make the fourth amendment to the interim constitution. An FRNF source said PM GP Koirala could concentrate on their grievances in an address to the nation likely to be made in a day or two.
