The government today honored Kathmandu-based Seven Summit Treks for being the largest contributor trekking and expedition company in Nepal in the last fiscal year.
Minister for Tourism, Culture, and Civil Aviation, Honorable Sudan Kirati, felicitated Seven Summit Treks' Director, Chhang Dawa Sherpa, as the Ministry identified his company as the largest contributor expedition firm in the country.
On the occasion of the 44th World Tourism Day, according to the ministry's data, SST paid 4.3 million USD directly to the government by bringing hundreds of world mountaineers in the last fiscal year.
Since its establishment in 2010, SST has been running the largest mountaineering expeditions in the Himalayan and Karakoram region. This award has inspired the country's mountaineering communities, said MoCTCA.
