The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued a travel and safety advisory for Nepali nationals residing in Israel and Iran, citing the evolving situation in the Middle East.
In a statement on Friday, the Ministry said it is closely monitoring developments and urged Nepalis in both countries to strictly follow security advisories and instructions issued by the respective authorities.
The Ministry advised nationals to remain indoors as much as possible, stay vigilant and exercise caution. It also urged them to maintain regular contact with the Nepali community in their areas and avoid travelling without prior authorization from the concerned authorities.
Nepali citizens have been asked to stay in regular communication with the Ministry in Kathmandu, the Embassy of Nepal in Tel Aviv and the Embassy of Nepal in Doha.
The government has also strongly advised Nepalis planning to travel to Israel or Iran to defer their trips until the situation stabilizes.
Similarly, Nepali nationals residing and working in other Middle Eastern countries have been urged to closely monitor developments and follow precautionary measures issued by local authorities.
For assistance, the Ministry has provided emergency contact details for its headquarters in Kathmandu as well as the Nepali missions in Tel Aviv and Doha.
