Govt moving ahead with Constitution implementation mission, says Lekhak

RAJBIRAJ:  Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport, Ramesh Lekhak, said the incumbent government was moving ahead with a mission to implement the Constitution.

Saying that there was no alternative to the Constitution implementation for political stability and development of the country, Lekhak made clear that the government's all activities were focused on it.

Speaking with journalists in Saptari district on Saturday, Lekhak informed that the government had been carrying out activities of development and reconstruction by prioritising relocation of those affected by the 2015 earthquake as well as recent floods and landslides.

Lekhak also said development of Tarai would be impossible without construction of the Postal Highway and it would be constructed with the Nepal Government's investment.

The Nepali Congress leader viewed that highways connected with Tarai-Madhes and Indian borders should be developed as trade roads. There would be no compromise from the government side in releasing budget and ensuring quality in such development projects, he further assured.
