Vaccine certification to be issued from various locations

KATHMANDU, AUGUST 4

The government has scheduled the administration of second dose of Vero cell throughout the country from August 6.

The vaccination drive this time is targeted at those who had received the first dose of Vero Cell and have completed 21 days since.

The government had vaccinated people aged 55 and above with China developed vaccine from July 13.

Similarly, those people who have yet to receive any Covid-19 vaccines are also urged to pre-register in the online portal of the Ministry of Health and Population https://vaccine.mohp.gov.np and the government will manage their vaccination based on the data accumulated.

Meanwhile, the government has also decided to provide electronic certification to those who have received both doses of the Covid-19 vaccine and are travelling abroad from the National Ayurved Research and Training Centre, Kritipur from today itself.

The electronic certificate will also be embedded with a QR code.

Authorities have planned to expand the issuance of the Covid-19 vaccination certificates from other locations of Kathmandu and other districts.

The administration had drawing flak owing to the mismanagement of vaccine certificate issuance as Sukraraj Tropical and Infectious Diseases Hospital was the only centre designated for the purpose, leading to massive overcrowding.
