Biratnagar, December 29:

Minister for Industries Ashta Laxmi Shakya has said strikes in industrial areas obstructed the process of building a new Nepal. She said this at the inauguration of a building of Nepal Rural Development Society Centre here today.

Saying that the government had already decided to ban strikes in industries and factories, she urged everyone to cooperate in implementing the decision. She added that the industries operating in Sunsari-Morang industrial corridor faced crisis owing to different reasons, and added that the government was committed on resolving the same.

The centre established in 1993, runs different programmes for the welfare of the women and children.
