MORANG: Minister for Irrigation NP Saud said that the government has been preparing to bring an Irrigation Act to resolve the problems seen in the irrigations management and increase land’s productivity.

Speaking at a programme in Bhaluwa of Sunsari district on Saturday, Minister Saud assured the locals that the draft of the Irrigation Act would be submitted at the meeting of the Council of Ministers by the end of this fiscal year.

He said the government has been working to launch big projects for the prosperity of the agricultural sector in Morang and Sunsari districts.

The irrigation minister also urged the farmers to use modern technology and cultivate crops in a commercial manner to get more benefit as per the investment.
