BHAKTAPUR: Chairperson of Nepal Communist Party Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' has said the government would continuously pursue development and prosperity braving the elements trying to defame it at an event organised by Newa Mukti Morcha Nepal in Madhyapur of Bhaktapur on Sunday, October 27.

At the event organised to honour the legendary Nepali philanthropist Sankhadhar Sakhwa and also to exchange best wishes on the occasion of festivals today, Prachanda stated that “The government was working to establish social justice in the country.”

The former Prime Minister also pointed out that Nepal Sambat should only be limited to the Newar community but rather should be marked by others as well.

Referring to Nepal Sambat declared as the 'National New Year' during his tenure as the Prime Minister, he said its effective implementation was still lacking.
