KATHMANDU: Government has decided to tighten the regulations for Non Government Organisations (NGOs) and International Non Government Organisations (INGOs).

A meeting between Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa and Minister for Women, Children and Senior Citizens Tham Maya Thapa held Thursday took a decision to make the regulation act regarding NGOs and INGOs tough, citing ill practices have gone up for lack of monitoring.

Likewise, now onwards, the District Administration Offices would also be involved in regulating and sending reports regarding the NGOs and INGOs as some weaknesses were detected in the existing regulations.

Similarly, the property details of office bearers of NGOs and INGOs would be made public by developing a procedure.
