Govt vows support for donors
KATHMANDU: The government vowed support for the donor agencies against the fight against epidemics spreading out in western Nepal on Tuesday.
In a meeting organised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dr Sudha Sharma Secretary of Health and Population outlined the short and long term plans and policies to control the epidemics. In response the donor agency representatives asked the government to provide them specific requirements. The epidemics have been detected as diarrhoea in the mid- western and far west regions of the county. However they have been identified as cholera in Jajarkot, the district most affected by epidemics. It has claimed more than two hundred lives across the country.
