NAWALPARASI: A child was killed in a rhino attack in the district, on Sunday.

According to police, the deceased has been identified as three-year-old Sweta Mahato of Kawasoti-15.

Her grandmother Buddhi Kumari Mahato was injured in the incident. She is undergoing treatment at the Bharatpur Medical College.

Sweta and her grandmother were sitting around a fireplace in their yard when the rhino attacked them.
