Grave crisis if no elections on time, warns Jhala Nath Khanal
JHAPA: CPN-UML senior leader Jhala Nath Khanal has forewarned that the country could be in a grave political morass if elections were not held on time.
Speaking at a press conference organised by the Press Chautari Nepal in Birtamod of Jhapa district today, leader Khanal said, "The country might reel under huge challenges and crisis during the Constitution implementation process if the elections are not held within mid-January next year."
Khanal also called for unity among the political parties to avert the crisis and challenges.
The former Prime Minister, meanwhile, blamed the incumbent government that it was not serious towards the elections and the Constitution implementation.
He reaffirmed that his party, though being the main opposition, would cooperate for holding polls and bringing to implement the new national statute.
