Groundwork completed for the first SA meeting of Province 7

DHANGADHI: Final preparations for the first State Assembly (SA) meeting of Province 7 slated for Sunday, February 4 have been completed.

The conference room of the District Coordination Committee has been prepared for the meeting with required construction of infrastructure and fresh painting, along with setting up of the sound system, tables, chairs, and other necessities for the meeting, according to secretary of Province 7 Laxmi Ram Poudel.

Required infrastructure development work has been completed for the office of the speaker and parliamentary secretariat, according to Poudel.

As part of the preparation for the first SA meeting, an all-party meeting has also taken place, in which topics such as the internal work procedure development and selection of the Speaker have been discussed upon. The first SA meeting of Sunday is going to decide on the date for the selection of the Speaker.

Likewise, the process of providing necessary training to the officials to be stationed at the province secretariat has also been completed, added Poudel.

The newly constructed building of Seti Zonal Transportation Management Office has been selected as the location for the office and residence of the Chief Minister.

Work has also begun for infrastructure development of the different ministries that are to be stationed within the province, including tasks related to building selection and furbishing, according to Rabindra Bohara, Chief of the Department of Urban Development and Building Construction, Dhangadhi.

A total of Rs 150 million has been allocated for the infrastructure development of the province conference hall, office and residence of the chief minister and governor, and the ministries to be located in the province.
