KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress leader Haribol Bhattarai has formed a new political party — Nepali Congress (BP) — under his leadership.

The party has Jhanaknath Pande as Vice-President, and General Secretaries Hari Shankar Mishra and Sushil Man Shrestha and Spokesperson Devendra Poudel.

Bhattarai said he formed the new political party as the Nepali Congress deviated from the thoughts of BP Koirala’s socialism.
