Heat wave hits life in Rautahat

Soaring temperatures and heat wave have affected normal life in Rautahat lately.
Today, nine-year-old Sangita Kumari Sahani of Rautahat’s Yamunamai Rural Municipality-3, collapsed under excessive heat. She had gone to graze her goats when she collapsed unable to bear the heat of the sun. She was then rushed to the district hospital in Gaur for treatment.
According to the hospital’s emergency ward in-charge Nirmal Shreewastav, it took four hours for the girl to regain consciousness.
“Anyone can collapse due to dehydration when temperatures soar,” said the doctor, adding the girl is out of danger now.
Rautahat and adjoining districts witnessed temperature up to 42 degrees Celsius today.
