KATHMANDU, AUGUST 1
The weather is expected to be partly to generally cloudy across the country today, according to a weather bulletin from the Weather Forecasting Division of the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology.
The bulletin indicates a chance of heavy rainfall at one or two locations in Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, as well as a few places in Madhes. Light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning is forecasted for some areas in Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces.
Tonight, the weather is expected to remain partly to generally cloudy nationwide. Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely at a few locations in Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, and at one or two places in Madhes and Lumbini provinces.
The Division also noted a potential for heavy rainfall at one or two sites in Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces tonight.
In its bulletin issued last night, the Division predicted continued rainfall in various parts of the country over the next two days, particularly during the night. However, weather conditions are expected to improve over the next two days compared to the previous three days.
Rain is expected to continue through Friday night, after which the weather is anticipated to improve.
