GAIGHAT: Different organisations and individuals established a fund for the education and care of three helpless children at Gaighat in Udayapur on Tuesday.

Chief District Officer Chandra Man Shrestha said the fund was established after Ram Kumari Danuwar, 38, of Chaudandi Municipality died in the course of delivery on September 11 and her children were helpless after the woman’s death.

The CDO added that the collected amount Rs 27,000 would be spent on their education. The amount was deposited on the account of Ajita, Aaisha and Anusha in Agriculture Development bank.
