Herdsman, 180 goats missing after Mugu landslide

MUGU: A herdsman along with his 180 goats has gone missing after a rainfall-triggered landslide in Chimath, Magri-1 in the district on Saturday.

According to police, earlier 200 goats had gone missing, but 20 were found dead later.

Whereabouts of the herder, 18-year-old Pushkar Bham, is still unknown.

Meanwhile, properties worth of millions have been damaged in various places in Mugu district by floods and landslides triggered by incessant rainfall which has continued unabated for the past four days.

Three shops at Chhail in Magri VDC-4 have been swept away by a flood, incurring a loss worth millions of rupees.

Likewise, two houses and a drinking water pipeline in Chimat village have also been damaged by a landslide.

Farmlands and seasonal crops Chhali have been swept away, shared a local Purna Bahadur Rokaya.

Locals in Chhail, Panpu and Maha villages are facing problems as a flood swept away a wooden bridge at Chyapne Gadh in Magri.
