Hetauda campuses in cut-throat competition

Hetauda, November 28:

The neck and neck competition between two campuses of Hetauda has benefited the students

willing to join the Master’s level course in sociology. The Makawanpur Multiple Campus (MMC) and Hetauda School of Management (HSM) have both offered MA in sociology from this academic session. They are trying to lure students through attractive offers and slogans.

A student who received an admission form for free from MMC said: “I’ve taken the form but I’m not sure where to get admitted.” The MMC had begun Master’s in Business Studies (MBS) programme two years ago. Comparatively, fee structure of Sociology course is cheaper than that of MBS. So the students are attracted to Sociology this time round.

The HSM has also started distributing forms for MA sociology programme. This campus had fixed Rs 3,000 as admission charge for Master’s degree in Sociology. The MMC also lessened the admission charge to Rs 3075 from Rs 5600. Interestingly enough, MMC has started admitting students free of cost since Sunday. “We want to provide more facilities to our students with the help of different organisations,” said Badri Nath Sharma, principal of MMC.

Puran Bahadur Joshi, coordinator of HSM, expressed commitment to run Sociology course at any cast. Both the campuses are competing to provide more facilities to the students.
