Hetauda eye hospital gets OCT machine
Hetauda, December 1
Rotary Club of Hetauda handed over Ocular Coherence Tomography machine to Hetauda Community Eye Hospital in Makawanpur today.
With the help of Rotary Club of Tasmania, Australia; Rotary Club of Taiwan and Rotary Club of Hetauda, a special programme was organised today in Hetauda to hand over the machine to the hospital.
Dr Supanal Thakali at the hospital said that there were different kinds of eye diseases. “There can be different treatment for the same disease,” he said.
Dr Supanal further said that locals would not have to go to Kathmandu or other cities now for treatment of eye diseases with availability of the Ocular Coherence Tomography machine at the hospital.
Representative of Rotary Club of Tasmania, James Wilcox, said the club would help the hospital even in days to come. He said he was very happy to support the hospital.
Meanwhile, administrative officer at the hospital Sudhir Shrestha said that the machine cost Rs 8,460,000. Dhiraj Karki at Rotary Club of Hetauda said that the club had been helping the eye hospital since its inception in every way possible.
“We will continue our support to the hospital in days ahead,” he informed.
