Hetauda's cinema hall on fire; efforts underway to bring blaze under control

HETAUDA: OMax Cinema in Hetauda Sub-metropolitan City-4 of Makawanpur district is now on fire.

According to police, the fire that started from the screen at 8:00 am today has spread in the cinema hall, completely destroying the seats.

The fire has turned massive since nobody detected the fire at the cinema belonging to a member of Film Development Board Nepal, Narendra Maharjan. The staffers only came to know about the blaze after an hour.

A fire engine from Hetauda Sub-Metropolis and another from Nepal Oil Corporation, Amlekhgunj, Bara have been mobilised to the site to douse the fire.

Meanwhile, the firefighters with the help of security personnel have been fighting to bring the blaze under control.

Police have presumed that an electrical short-circuit could be the cause of the blaze.

No casualties have been reported since there was no one in the hall, a security personnel informed.
