High alert to prevent dengue

Rupandehi, October 16 :

Cities in Rupendehi bordering India are on a high alert to check communicable diseases, especially dengue, reaching here. Dengue is already an epidemic in India.

Acting head of the district public health office Rupandehi, Mukunda Gautam said a team of health workers has begun their work from today at main check point on Indian border town, Belhiya to inform about dengue.

“The teams led by health assistants are stationed on the highway and giving information about dengue,” he said. The Butwal Municipality has appealed city residents to be careful.
