DAMAULI: A heavy storm that occurred few days ago has blown off the roofs of two schools and several houses in Byas Municipality-5 of Tanahun district.

Property worth over Rs 100,000 have been destroyed in the natural calamity.

The violent storm blew off the roofs of Sindhu Primary School and Byas Manakamana Boarding School putting a stop to the classes running in the schools.

Moreover, the storm blew off the roofs of the houses belonging to Bhoj Bahadur Kumal, Rup Bahadur Kumal, Ram Bahadur Kumal, Mitra Lal Kumal, Rajendra Kumal, Som Bahadur Kumal of Kumal settlement in Sera; Govinda Shrestha of Ranitari and  Bishnu Bhakta Wagle of Myagdi Rural Municipality, according to Tara Bahadur Thapa, a teacher  at Sindhu Primary School.

The victims of the disaster have demanded the concerned bodies for the compensation, while they are staying with their relatives.
