KATHMANDU, MAY 4

Nepal on Tuesday reported record high 55 Covid-19 fatalities, as total death-toll from the contagion moves upward with a constant spike this week.

After today's additions, the nationwide fatality count, in a grim milestone, has crossed the 3400 mark, and stands at 3417.

With the sharp and alarming spike in infections, hospitals across the country have been struggling to manage the heavy influx of Covid patients leading to a shortage of beds and oxygen in many hotspots, including the capital.
