BHAKTAPUR: Locals today obstructed Kaushaltar-Gatthaghar stretch of the Araniko highway in Bhaktapur district after a pedestrian was killed in a road mishap last night. According to police, Purna Krishna Kutu of Kaushaltar was killed after a bus hit him at the Bhaktapur bus park last night. Irate locals blocked the highway demanding compensation to the victim since this

morning.

Meanwhile, transport entrepreneurs called an indefinite transport strike on the Mechi Highway in Ilam today after Federal Limbuwan State Council cadres thrashed a driver Raju Shrestha yesterday. Hundreds of passengers have been stranded due to strike.
