Highway emergency hospital being built

Malekhu, January 27:

Considering the growing number of accidents on Prithvi highway’s Baireni-Mugling section, a well-equipped ‘highway emergency hospital’ is being built in Benighat VDC-1 Malekhu.

It is being built by Friends of Nepal, Kathmandu, and locals of Dhading with with assistance of Rs 10 million from an Italian NGO, Amici Del Monterosa. Its construction is in the final stage.

The hospital will provide specialist services, run an emergency ward and ambulances, said Friends chief Nimanuru Sherpa, adding, “The hospital will run with direct participation from the community.”
