KATHMANDU: A senior flight attendant of Himalaya Airlines and a woman journalist successfully scaled Europe's highest peak this morning.

According to expedition organizers, Omnika Dangol, the flight attendant of Himalaya Airlines and journalist Phurpa Sherpa stood atop Mt Elbrus (5,642m) at around 6:15 am local time.

"Yes, we made it to the top of Mt Elbrus," Dangol told THT from Russia. Dangol said that she was on her mission to complete all the highest peaks in the seven continents.

Dangol made headlines in 2022 after she successfully scaled the world's highest peak becoming the first Nepali flight attendant to stand atop the roof of the world. "My mission is now to complete all seven summits," she said.

Dangol has to climb five more peaks to achieve the feat.
