KATHMANDU: The Himalayan Times News Correspondent of Chitwan, Tilak Rimal has been honoured by the Chitwan National Park (CNP).

In a programme organised by CNP to celebrate its 45th anniversary today, Rimal was honoured for contributing news articles raising public awareness of wildlife diversity, its conservation including endangered one-horned rhinoceros, tiger and various species of birds.

Minister for Forests and Soil Conservation Bikram Pandey offered a "shawl" and a "Letter of Appreciation" to Rimal.

Similarly, other mediapersons including Shiva Puri of Kantipur, Nepali National Daily; Kamal Chandra Bhagat of Avass Television; Anil Dhakal of AP1 TV and Rajendra Acharya of Sauraha Online were also felicitated on the occasion.
