DAMAULI: A 100-year-old suspension bridge constructed over the Seti River in Tahanun district is to be renovated.
The bridge connecting Myagde Rural Municipality and Bhimad Municipality of Tanahun is to be renovated on the initiative of Bhimad Municipality.
The bridge was built in 1918 AD by excavating iron from the iron mines located at Shuklagandaki Municipality-10 of the district.
According to Surya Shrestha, chairperson of Bhimad Municipality-7, Rs 6 million has been appropriated by the municipality in the current fiscal year of 2018/19 for the restoration project.
