House hiatus, Deusi respite for lawmaker
SANKHUWASABHA: The obstruction of House business by the UCPN-Maoist has been a matter of dismay for many, but not for CA member Dambar Bahadur Khadka for he has got sufficient time to revel in this year's Deusi.
Although Tihar was over nearly a week ago, Khadka is still busy in playing Deusi. The Deusi, which began on October 18, is still on in many parts of the district.
He had got invitation from different groups and organisations when he reached his home district to celebrate Tihar.
Local residents, for whom the constitution drafting process does not hold much significance, have been all happy getting Khadka in their Deusi teams.
Rajesh Rai of Bala VDC said, "Most of the leaders do not return to the district after the election. But we're happy as he is with us this whole Tihar.''
Khadka, who too is happy in the Tihar break, added, "I got chance to take part in fundraising Deusi programmes, some of which are aimed at helping flood victims of the district.''
He also said that he postponed his programme to return to the capital today due to a request to participate in Deusi for some more days. A CPN-UML lawmaker Khadka, who was elected from Constituent 2 has been busy in the Deusi in Constituency 1.
Of the six lawmakers from the district, other five celebrated their Tihar in the capital.
