House regulations drafting panel gets 15 more days

A meeting of the Legislature-Parliament today extended the deadline for the Regulations Drafting Committee to submit a draft of the parliamentary regulations by 15 days.

Chairman of the Committee Adhikary proposed in the Parliament to give the committee additional 15 days, saying the 11-member sub-committee formed to draft the regulation was yet to accomplish its task.

The parliament had formed the Committee on October 2. The committee was given 30 days to complete its task.

The proposal was endorsed by the House. The next meeting of the Parliament will be held on December 23.

Meanwhile, the Legislature-Parliament has also appointed new members in its Business Advisory Committee as two of its members have become ministers.

Janamorcha Nepal’s leader Chitra Bahadur KC, who currently holds the portfolio of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Cooperatives, has been replaced by lawmaker Durga Poudel.
