Huge cache of ammunition found in Jumla den, apple farm

KATHMANDU: Police have confiscated illegal arms and ammunition from a hideout in Jaljala and an apple farm in Ghodenga of Sanigaun-4 in Jumla district on Sunday.

A team from the Karnali Zonal Police Office found a rifle, 25 rounds of bullets, a magazine and other parts of the SLR rifle wrapped in a cloth and green plastic bag.

Earlier, police had arrested the trio, identified as Man Bahadur Bohora (32) of Jumla, Govinda Tamata (25) and Dal Bahadur Karki (32) of Mugu, on August 31 for investigation. The locations of the arms were revealed by the trio during investigation.

Meanwhile, police also confiscated 14 rounds of bullets of different types from a retail shop in Nepalgunj Sub-Metropolitan City-22 of Banke district.

Police have arrested Kriparam Kalwar, the retailer, for further investigation into the case.
