Humla schools receive technical support
HUMLA: Two community schools in Kharpunath Rural Municipality of Humla district have received technical assistance from Good Neighbours International and Karnali Integrated Rural Development and Research Centre (KIRDRC), Nepal.
Sita Secondary School and Malika Secondary School, located in the central belt of the district, have obtained computers and IT materials worth Rs 1 million meant for their quality enhancement and to motivate the students towards new technology, as part of the education programme launched by KIRDRC with the financial support from Good Neighbours International.
Ten computers and one projector were given to Malika Secondary School, and eight computers and one projector to Sita Secondary School, according to Humla District Coordinator of Good Neighbours International, Man Kumar Rai.
After receiving the materials, Principal of Sita Secondary School Junaraj Hamal thanked the organisations stating that the computers would be supportive in making the school IT-friendly.
