CHITWAN: Chitwan Police have launched a campaign to track down fugitives  who have been absconding before and after conviction.

According to  police data, the number of fugitives fleeing after conviction stands at  795 in the district.

According to Section Officer Gambhir Ghimire of  Chitwan District Court, more than Rs 28.4 million fine is due from the  fugitives.

Chitwan Police have so far arrested 29 fugitives this fiscal.  “A special team has been formed to arrest these fugitives,” said DSP  Rajan Adhikari, who is also spokesperson of the district police office.
