Indrawati Hydropower Project, which was closed for the last five days, resumed its production last night after the agitating locals, local administration, the project and political parties reached a seven-point agreement.

According to assistant CDO Govinda Sapkota, the agreement includes reducing power cuts in the area, ending power cuts within two weeks and constructing a sub-station in Melamchi.

The Locals had shut down the project located at Jyamire VDC, demanding an end to load-shedding in 29 VDCs of the district.

Following the agreement, the construction work of Indrawati Hydro Project IV also resumed.
