KATHMANDU, July 16

Minister for Information and Communications Minendra Rijal on Thursday clarified at the meeting of the Legislature Parliament that he did not hold any Diversity Visa and Permanent Residency of any country.

“I thought it would be appropriate to clarify as it was alleged in the Parliament meeting and meetings of parliamentary committees that some government ministers hold DV and PR of foreign countries. Some weekly newspapers and social media also made such allegations,” said minister Rijal.

Rijal said, “I studied in the US and taught as guest lecturer in New York University for three years. Despite having opportunities there, I returned to Nepal as I was keen to work here. I am a Nepali and permanent resident of Nepal and I do not hold DV and PR of any country.”
